Wood File Cabinets
Wood File Cabinets can easily add spice and
class to your work space, and storage areas, while still adding convenience
The purpose of a filing cabinet is widely known as a means to store
data and personal items, like your documents and files, but wood file cabinets can make sure that your
storage space isn't trashed by tacky filing cabinets. If you are bored and tired of the conventional and
bland metal filing cabinets, and if you want to add something more homely to your office or home, then you may want to consider wood file cabinets as a
solution to your dilemma.
Choosing a wood
cabinet - When you choose a wood cabinet, it is also important
to make sure that you measure the area where you are going to put it, to make sure that it fits, especially if you
are having a custom made cabinet. You should also measure how deep the cabinet drawers are, so that you will be
able to place the cabinet and open then to their full length (rather than having a wall, chair or something else in
the way), as you want to be able to access all of your files.
If the cabinet will be located at a space
used as storage you may want to chose the usual metal cabinet. But if the cabinet will be locate in your immediate
working space it would be a good idea to have a nice wood file cabinet to warm your space.
You will find cabinets of different eights
and drawers. Learn more about 3 drawer file cabinet.
Four
Drawer - These are tall vertical cabinets and are often used for
file and document storage. Since it is made from wood, the cabinets will be sturdy. Four draws are tall, which
makes them perfect for storing many files and documents at once and in the same place. If you run a business where
you need to store many items, then this will work perfectly. As well, each drawer is equipped with a metal or
brass handle, which nicely finished off the cabinet, and also makes the drawers easy to open when you have lots of
things in them. The top drawers often come with individual locks, so that way you can easily store private
documents. This works well, if you are going to keep the filing cabinet in your home and you have small children,
as they will not be able to reach up to open it. In that case it is best to have it, just in
case.
D2 Lateral
wooden cabinets - These filing cabinets are shorter than the
four drawer, but they are also wider, which makes up for it. If you are not looking for a cabinet which is quite as
tall, then this may be an option for you, as they have two drawers. The top drawer, however, is not the same height
as the bottom, being the bottom drawer taller. Like the four drawer, the top drawer also have a lock, so that you
can store your private contents adequately. The cabinets also have brass or metal handles, but the shortness of the
cabinet itself allows for it to be used as a small counter space to place other things.
Lateral filing
cabinets - These are much like the D2, except the two drawers
are the same size, and the top drawer is once again equipped with a lock. Just like the other cabinets, the handles
can either be brass or another metal.
Wood file cabinets are not suitable as
fireproof file cabinets.
